Yaren, our director's latest documentary becomes one of the finalists in the "Foreign" category at Close:Up Edinburgh Docufest in Scotland. The results should have been announced by now but the festival has been postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Unfortunately, Yaren's festival journey has been a bit tough due to Covid-19 outbreak. Many of the festivals that selected Yaren for official selection or awards have been cancelled or postponed. Just weeks before the lockdown, Yaren won the "Best Feature Documentary" at the Prague Film Awards 2020 and has been added to the "Official Selection" list at the KOQIX Indie Film Festival at Turin, Italy.
We are eagerly waiting for results from the Close:Up Edinburgh Docufest committee.
